& Fundraising

Our fundraising challenges are designed to motivate, inspire and connect your workforce with the Trust’s mission. We can create a bespoke schedule of engaging fundraising activity to suit your employees’ commitments and your business aims.

Survival Challenges

Drive to Survive or Survival Island

Dame Kelly Holmes Trust exists to equip young people with the positive behaviours and mindset if they face challenges in their everyday lives. Our programmes improve their physical and mental wellbeing, help them build healthy relationships and unlock the confidence, self-esteem and resilience needed to overcome challenge and succeed in education, work and life.

Now picture yourself stranded – the setting is different, but the skills needed are the same. If you’re going to survive, you’ll need to overcome a series of challenges testing your physical, mental and team-work skills.

Like the Trust’s athlete mentors, who we train to use their unique experience from the world of elite sport to lead our programmes and mentor young people, your survival challenge will be led by ex-Royal Marines, supporting you to unlock the same skill sets to succeed on the island!

Running and
Challenge Events

Set yourself a challenge, improve your physical fitness and raise funds to support young people by putting a Champion in their Corner. Take on one of our running or challenge events taking place all over the country in 2023. We have everything from 5km events to major city closed road marathons. If running isn’t your thing, you can take on an inflatable assault course or attempt a 300 foot bungee jump. Taking on a challenge is a great way to boost your mental and physical wellbeing while supporting the Trust’s athlete mentors to help boost young people’s mental and physical wellbeing too.

Sports day

A sports day like no other.

In order to understand the powerful impact that working with an athlete mentor can have, you have to connect with them yourselves. Experience the world of sport with our elite athlete team: challenge yourself and colleagues against Olympic, Commonwealth, World and European champions, step outside your comfort zone physically and work as a team.

Our transformational programmes are designed to highlight the intrinsic link between physical and mental wellbeing. Athlete mentors encourage young people to try out new sports and activity, and to incorporate them in to their every day, promoting long term healthy behaviours.

Our inclusive activities will encourage staff performance, focussing on group dynamics, teamwork, confidence and health and wellbeing. Tailored specifically to you, we aim to bring a sense of unity across your whole team.

We delivered Sports Days for Janus Henderson in 2017, 2018 & 2019, they said:

The Trust’s world class athletes made sure that our Sports Day was a day to remember for our staff. All of the teams left inspired and motivated after a brilliant afternoon of physical activity. It was a great way to support the work that the Trust do.
