trust welcomes interim ceo

We are pleased to announce that Martin Talbot will be acting up as Interim CEO for Dame Kelly Holmes Trust. Currently our Head of Programmes and Operations, and formerly Head of Programmes at Liverpool Football Club Foundation, he brings a wealth of experience to his new role.

Martin said:

“I’m proud to represent Dame Kelly Holmes Trust as Interim CEO. I look forward to supporting our amazing team in putting world class athletes shoulder to shoulder with young people. I’m constantly inspired by the transformational positive impact our athlete mentors have on the young people we work with and for.”

Martin’s appointment comes as Ben Hilton steps down from his role. After over nine years of committed work, as a Director of Programmes and Head of Young People Programmes, and then as CEO, Ben will be taking on a new challenge as CEO at ReachOut.

Ed Bracher, Chair of Dame Kelly Holmes Trust, said:

“We are extremely grateful to Ben for his hard work at the Trust and his many accomplishments; with young people always at the heart of everything we do and ensuring that our athlete mentors continue to make an incredible contribution to society. Through his leadership and vision we have achieved so much. Ben has led the team through some challenging times as well as a global pandemic, ensuring the young people we support have continued to benefit from our wellbeing programmes, and achieve their full potential.

We’re proud of everything that has been achieved under Ben’s leadership, and we wish him the best of luck in his new role as CEO at Reachout – a really positive new challenge for him, continuing to do great work with and for young people.”
