Chris McReady's Blog

Chris McCready is a former professional footballer at Crewe Alexandra, Tranmere and Morecambe as well as a graduate in Science and Football BSc at Liverpool John Moores University. Chris spent 14 years as a professional footballer but found the best decision he made as an adult outside of his personal life was to return to part time studies while still a footballer. Now retired from football, Chris is studying for an PhD and is also working at the Trust looking after Athlete Support and Development. 

Emma Atkins - Former CEO

Emma Atkins is the former CEO at Dame Kelly Holmes Trust, which has empowered thousands of young people facing disadvantage in the UK through their unique mentoring programmes led by world class athletes.

Since joining the Charity as Director of Programmes in 2008, Emma has overseen the successful delivery and expansion of all the Trust’s programmes for young people and world class athletes.

Emma is a strong advocate of establishing good practice for social research and measuring the impact of work in the third sector. She's led the Trust to develop its first impact measurement strategy and played an influential role in the development of their social return on investment model.

Emma left Dame Kelly Holmes Trust in the summer of 2017 - this is a collection of her blogs from her time at the Trust.

Hannah's Blog

Hannah attended the Get on Track programme in Medway in late 2015 and early 2016. At the time she was 23 years old had been unemployed for a few years. She also has Asperger Syndrome & anxiety. 

She didn’t have a lot of work experience, her confidence was low & she didn’t truly believe in myself. She wanted this to change and that’s where her story begins.
