Finance Officer: Anand Bhatt

As part of the Finance team at the Trust, it’s my job to get to ensure I update our financial management reporting to our Leadership Team about the our financial status of our income and expenditure based on our programmes we run and the inspirational athletes and young people we work with. I also liaise with our fundraising team to update their income on regular basis for them, so if there’s anything you want to hear more about, let me know.

I’ve had a varied career so far which has included working in private and charity based sectors while being an athlete myself - I represented the UNITED REPUBLIC OF TANZANIA as a National Badminton player at both local and International level. I’m really excited to be working for an organisation dedicated to helping young people facing disadvantage and I'm proud we have world class athletes we work with to deliver programmes that transform the lives of young people facing disadvantage.

When not at work I often play badminton, volunteering with my community where possible.

Finance Assistant: Lucy Hyland

My main role at the Trust is processing all athlete invoices and making sure they are paid on time. I also keep financial records up to date and support my team with anything they need.

When I left school I started volunteering for a Mental Health charity, since then I knew I wanted to continue volunteering in my spare time, now I’m lucky enough to be working for a charity and able to give back every day.

I joined the Trust in late October and started on a 5 week work placement, while I was actively looking for an apprenticeship, after being here for a few weeks I could see how friendly and hard working everyone at the trust is which made me want to stay. Towards the end of my placement my manager offered me an 18 month contract to complete an AAT apprenticeship which I was more than happy to accept!
