Back in June we launched our FREE lunch time webinar series, Bite Size Briefings. These fortnightly sessions are led by one of our world class athletes and cover a key aspect of performance, helping participants gain a unique insight into the key attitudes and mindset that drive a world-class team and individual performance.

All of our young people programmes are led by world class athletes, but these athletes are also available to deliver training to organisations and businesses allowing them to learn from their experiences and bring out the key attitudes needed for success, whilst inspiring, motivating and developing the well-being of your workforce.

First up was Jack Rutter, Paralympian footballer who talked about the importance of Leadership, where among other things he talked about the importance of empowering your teams, "Don’t tell people how to do things, tell them what to do and let them surprise you with their results."

A great session on building leadership skills in both business and day to day settings. Useful takeaways and a perfect 30 minute break in the day!

Next on the schedule was Olympic triple jumper Michelle Robinson who talked Confidence and Belief who as she said in the session, "I was a young girl from Wembley, from a hard working class background who dared to dream." One aspect that struck a chord with the audience was the quote "A dream is nothing if it’s left on a pillow" that was tweeted out by an attendee straight after as she stuck it on the wall by her granddaughter's bed!

A very insightful real world approach to working with confidence with young people.

The last session to be held so far was on Motivation and was led by Anna Turney who was paralysed in a snowboarding accident but went on to compete for Team GB in two Winter Olympics. Anna told how she recovered from her accident and motivated herself to get back on the snow and compete at the highest level and how others can improve motivation too.

Over 50 people have registered for each session so far and we still have more to come over the weeks ahead. Next we have Paralympic swimming chapion Liz Johnson talking Resilience and Problem Solving on 11th August, followed by sessions on Wellbeing, Goal Setting and Communication & Teamwork. You can sign up for any or all of these sessions here.

The Trust have a wide range of offerings for businesses, all led by world class athletes, including Professional Development Workshops, Team Building Days and Mental Health First Aid training.
