About us Our news London Marathon success for amazing Trust fundraisers Yet another huge London Marathon has come and gone and we're thankful to our brilliant runners who took on the whopping Virgin Money race of 26.2 miles to raise money for the Trust. Our runners also took part in the Marathon, with all fulfilling a personal ambition not only to compete in this iconic race, but to raise money so that we can continue to help even more young people unlock their potential. Months of preparation through training via long distance runs, masterclasses and gym sessions enabled the group to rise to the challenge of completing the London Marathon on Sunday, representing the Trust. The big day saw high spirits and energy from start to finish. This incredible group took part in support of our work with young people who have been empowered by Dame Kelly Holmes Trust. Thousands of people turned up to line London roads and motivate runners, making it an event like no other and an experience that no doubt will live with them forever. Some of the Trust team were on hand to provide refreshments to refuel and tons of cheers, encouraging and spurring on individuals. After raising thousands of pounds, the runners' efforts have gone a long way and we really appreciate them talking on such a challenge! Our founder Dame Kelly also managed to complete the huge circuit in just over 3 hours' time. You can still show your support and back Dame Kelly's efforts here.
