Anna is a two time Paralympian and World Cup medallist. She became paralysed in a snowboarding accident in 2006 but was back on snow representing GB within two years. Four years after becoming injured, she finished 6th in the 2010 Vancouver Paralympics. Anna went on to achieve Britain’s best ever result in Women Sitting in Alpine Skiing in Sochi 2014 (4th).

Anna then retired from competition for her family and to develop her inspirational speaking and is a TEDx speaker. Anna is passionate about inspiring people to build aspirations and follow their dreams.

Giving Back

Anna joined the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust in 2010 and has worked on most of our programmes, including several Get On Track programmes in the Midlands. She has supported young people in schools through our AQA Unlocking Potential mentoring scheme, our BP Young Leaders Programme, Aspiring Minds and National Citizen's Service (NCS) as well as helping to promote the Trust in promotional videos and social media.

We've helped support Anna with her transition out of sport and to develop her work with young people through through Sport England’s Sporting Champions and other programmes. She also does some media work and represents several other charities supporting disabled people.

“Anna was a real inspiration and fabulous speaker. The children were in awe and she was absolutely brilliant with them.”
