Claire was a member of the Great Britain Women’s foil fencing team and part of the World Class Performance Programme. She has represented Great Britain in European and World Championships since the age of 14.

As captain of England Claire won individual Bronze and Team Gold at the 2010 Commonwealth Fencing Games. Claire was the former Athlete Manager at the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust and supported their team of elite athletes in their lives beyond sport. She is dedicated to progressing women into leadership roles and is a keen motivational speaker.

Claire loves getting the best out of people and supporting others to achieve their goals. As an Associate of Sport and Beyond, Claire now draws on the lessons she learnt from elite level sport to help progress, empower and develop others. Claire is also a qualified performance life coach and specialises in both collective team and individual personal development. 

In her spare time she has written for the London Evening Standard as a columnist and for the Daily Telegraph in their Olympics.

Giving Back

Claire has always known she has wanted to give something back and become an athlete mentor. Claire benefitted from incredible mentors during her fencing career and and she now enjoys giving back and making a meaningful contribution to society and others. Claire spends a great deal of her time volunteering to support women in sport or developing others to achieve their goals. 

Claire has been lucky enough to work on all of the young people programmes at the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust and is passionate about supporting others to achieve their potential. Claire is proud to be an athlete mentor and realises the importance of giving back and supporting others achieve whatever it is that they want to achieve.
