Henry started training in Olympic Taekwondo in 2009. Henry had previously practised Kung fu for five years whilst studying Chemical Engineering at Loughborough University.

After graduating Henry, moved to Liverpool to start a career in Chemical Engineering and simultaneously started Taekwondo training.  After early successes at National level and then International level the potential to compete at International level led to Henry giving up a high level Engineering Management position in 2014 and focusing on full time on Taekwondo training. The decision paid off as Henry then went on to win medals at Olympic ranking competitions and was selected for the 2014 Commonwealth Championship where he won a Bronze medal.

In Henry's spare time he is a fitness trainer doing personal training with a side of some training for MMA fighters. He also has his own Ninja Warrior style gym based in Liverpool.
