Jade is a long jumper from Falkirk, who currently holds the Scottish national women’s long jump record.

She achieved this feat (6.47m) in April 2012 at the Hilltoppers Relay meeting in Kentucky, almost 40 years after the original record had been made.

Jade has named Dame Kelly Holmes as the athlete who has most inspired her. When she was younger Jade also practised basketball, dance and gymnastics. She was also an Olympic torch bearer in 2012 for the London Games. In 2013 she was selected to represent Scotland the following year in the Commonwealth Games where she jumped a season’s best in the qualifying round but unfortunately didn’t reach the final.

Jade is coached by Darren Ritchie, the Scottish Long jump champion and is aiming to represent Scotland in the Heptathlon at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games and Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
