Jonathan started playing cerebral palsy football in 2007 and made his debut for Scotland against Ireland in a 1-1 draw, scoring a penalty.

He has represented Scotland in European championships and world championships.  He has been captain of the squad since 2009 and to date he has over 80 caps and has 60 plus goals. He has also represented Great Britain in Beijing, where he was captain and he has also represented Team GB at the Paralympic Games in London and Rio.

Giving Back

Jonathan has been involved with Winning Scotland doing training days to learn more about how to become a mentor. He has made a number of public speaking appearances with Scottish disability sport and the Scottish Football Association, inspiring others about his journey in sport.


He has also coached with north Lanarkshire leisure and worked with Motherwell Football Club in the community.
