Liz Johnson Liz is one of the biggest and brightest personalities to emerge from the growth of Paralympic sport in the last decade. Liz, who was born with Cerebral Palsy, has competed in 3 Paralympic Games and has a remarkable backstory that demonstrates resilience, determination and talent which culminated in winning a Paralympic Gold medal in Beijing in 2008 despite the greatest personal challenges imaginable. The Swansea University Business Management graduate also had the honour of reading the Athlete Oath at the London 2012 Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony as well as taking part and winning further medals. Now retired, she enjoyed a tremendous 2016, being heralded as one of the stars of Channel 4’s award winning production of the Rio Paralympic Games. Now experienced in addressing small and large audiences, feedback from all her corporate appearances has been outstanding due to her charismatic and energetic delivery coupled with her warm personality - audiences are touched and inspired by her story. Giving Back Liz is one of the Patrons for the charity, Dreamflight who every year take 192 seriously ill or disabled children, aged 8-14 to Orlando, Florida for a 10 day holiday without their parents. She is also an ambassador for Panathlon Challenge who are an organisation that provide multisport competition to Pupils with special educational needs. Liz is very passionate about encouraging people of all ages to get involved with sport and get active so that they can find a good balance and maximise their overall well being.
