National Fitness Day, is a chance to highlight the role physical activity plays across the UK, helping everyone raise awareness of its importance in helping us lead healthier and active lifestyles.

At Dame Kelly Holmes Trust, we believe activity is crucial in helping with people’s wellbeing, both physical and mental.  We use athlete mentors in all of our young people programmes who can first-hand inspire young people and act as a role model for the benefits that activity can bring. Our athletes – who have all performed at world class level - can also inspire adults as well in corporate settings to increase activity levels as well as adopt high performing attitudes found in athletes.

World Class Athletes Supporting Young People

Our wellbeing programmes support young people to make sustainable changes in their lives to increase their physical activity levels and help address poor mental wellbeing. These programmes include more interactive sessions that focus on physical activity to increase activity levels and improve physical and mental wellbeing. We run these programmes both as community and school based programmes, you can find out more about Get on Track and On Track to Achieve on our website.

If you’re interested in finding out more about us bringing these programmes to either your school or community, please contact us [email protected]

Athletes Working With Your Company

As well as inspiring young people, our athletes have been shown to inspire and motivate adults as well, particularly in corporate settings. In the past we have run corporate sports days for organisations and athletes have visited business to give talks, lead activity sessions and also to mentor staff.

All these options are available and if National Fitness Day has motivated you to get your company more active, drop us a line on [email protected] to find out more.
