Nominations are now open for the AQA Unlocking Potential 2021/22 programme.

AQA Unlocking Potential is a transformational mentoring programme for students aged from 11-19 years of age, delivered in partnership between education charity AQA and Dame Kelly Holmes Trust.

One of the best things I've ever seen happen in a school - Mark Dominy, Teacher at Priory Pembroke Academy.

This year is the tenth anniversary of the AQA Unlocking Potential programme and we are aiming to make it the biggest and best ever. AQA Unlocking Potential aims to raise student's aspirations and expectations on future life goals, whether from school to Further Education, Further Education to Higher Education, or into training and employment. Our programmes are delivered by world class athletes, who we know make exceptional role models and mentors, using their amazing experience from the world of sport – discipline, perseverance, resilience and self-belief to name but a few.

We're offering the opportunity for 80 students from twenty schools to take part in this life changing programme. Young people are to be nominated by their teachers who believe that they would benefit from mentoring support from our world class athletes to develop life skills and increase their confidence, self-belief and motivation.

To get a flavour of what the programme has to offer and understand why Sophie said that 'attending AQA Unlocking Potential in 2019 gave her the confidence and motivation to go to university and get on the path to her dream job', watch the amazing video from last year's programme.

Nominations will close at 5pm on the 1st November. Full details of the criteria and link to the nominations form can be found here.
