Everyone at Dame Kelly Holmes Trust would like to give a huge thank you to the 2019 Southeastern Spartans from SouthEastern Railway who completed the recent Spartan race in Sevenoaks. The Spartan run is one of the hardest of its kind with 26 gruelling obstacles set over 6 kilometres over all different types of terrain.

The full team comprised staff from all areas of Southeastern including a station manager, driver managers, rail enforcement, conductors, drivers and platform staff. As team captain James Davies said

No matter how high up the food chain in this we are, we were all in this together! Some were fit where others were not, some older, some younger, some small and some large, male and female but in the end we are all the same - the sweat and pain did not discriminate.

The full team was:

JAMES DAVIES (C), ADAM HICKMOTT, CHARLIE BENTLEY, DARREN KERSLAKE, DAVID ATKINSON, EMILY HICKMOTT, JAMES BOOTH, HAYDEN JARVIS, LUZANNE ABNETT, MARK GILBERTSON, MARTIN WILLIAMS, PAUL HANCOCK, PAUL RENAUD, ROSS MCDOUGALL, ROY MARTLEW

The team competed in this race to show no matter who you are or what you are, you can come together and work as a team to do what you think is impossible.

So far the team have raised a brilliant £250 but there's still time to sponsor them for their amazing achievement. You can find their fundraising page here
