Cricketer Rachel has always played sport starting at an early age: she enjoyed playing a range of sports when younger including tennis, netball and horse riding.

She always enjoyed the feeling of being a part of a team. Her passion for cricket developed when she was selected to represent Hampshire youth team aged 11, since then she has continued to play for Hampshire ever since and now plays for the Women’s team. Rachel also plays for the University of Bath and has been lucky enough to spend the winter competing for Melbourne in Australia.

Giving Back

Rachel joined the Trust in July 2016. She has been involved in young people programmes based in Bristol, where she assisted and supported the lead athletes in delivering a successful programme. Rachel really enjoyed mentoring the young people building their confidence in sport but also motivating them to believe they can achieve more.
