Rose was introduced to the sport of Bob Skeleton through a UK sport initiative, Girls4Gold, in 2008 and in March 2009 Rose had her first sliding experience in Norway.

In May 2009 Rose was selected onto the ‘Skeleton Futures’ development programme, which resulted in her taking part in intensive summer training, within Europe and America. After a successful British Selection races, Rose competed on the European Cup Circuit for the 2010-2011 season, and finished 4th overall with four podium finishes and four top eight finishes. She progressed to the Intercontinental Circuit in the following season and became the 2011-2012 Overall Champion, winning half of the races on the circuit with two other podium finishes. The season culminated with racing in the 2012 World Championships.

Rose continued competing at a high level including winning a bronze medal at the European Championships in 2015 but retired from the sport later the same year

Giving Back

Sport is a fantastic way of engaging with people and helping them to realise their talent and potential. Rose wants to make the most of her experiences and skills to inspire young people to find and fulfil their potential in sport and life.

Currently she is a UK sport Talent 2016 Ambassador and has helped with new talent initiative schemes such as Power2Podium by sharing her progression through Girls4gold and beyond.

She had the opportunity to speak at the Women in Sport Conference 2011 in London, and is passionate about working or helping to increase women participation and involvement in sports.
