Stephanie is a Taekwondo athlete from London who started taekwondo at the age of 6 following her father’s footsteps.

She has been doing taekwondo for over 18 years competing in the heavyweight female division from cadet through to the senior level. Stephanie first represented Great Britain at age 15 year at the Junior European championships and then became an elite athlete for GB taekwondo at the age of 18 where she represented her country full time.

Taekwondo has moulded Stephanie into the person that she is today and she owes everything to the sport. It has taught her key qualities such as discipline, respect, determination and many more.

When she first started taekwondo she didn’t like it very much but stuck at and then at the age of 12 it clicked and she has never regretted starting the sport. Stephanie still competes internationally while studying for a Bsc in applied sport science at Loughborough University alongside exploring a future career in the sports industry.

Giving Back

Stephanie joined Dame Kelly Holmes Trust in November 2016 and was involved in the Newham Get on Track programme in 2017. Stephanie is really passionate about being an athlete mentor for the Trust and takes great pride in helping her fellow young people. She does her very best to always inspire the young people she works with and encourages them to aleways strive for the best. She describes working with young people via the Trust as a ‘rewarding experience’. She is enthusiastic about giving back and enjoys every part of her work.

Stephanie also gives back at her home taekwondo club, where she is a mentor to the young taekwondo players.
