Annie moody announced as interim ceo
We are pleased to announce that Annie Moody has been appointed as Interim CEO for Dame Kelly Holmes Trust. Currently our Head of Income Generation and Fundraising, Annie brings a wealth of experience to the role, both from her time at the Trust and as the founder of a charity and former Managing Director of a youth development CIC.
Martin Talbot, current CEO, will finish his time at Dame Kelly Holmes Trust on the 11 July to take up a new position as CEO at Leadership Through Sport And Business, a youth social mobility charity. We wish him all the very best in his new role.
Annie said: “I am truly honoured to be stepping into the role of Interim CEO at this incredible charity; an organisation that has, over the past 17 years, supported thousands of young people through its transformational programmes, led by our exceptional athlete mentors; for which the Trust has supported over 400, in their transition from elite sport.
A heartfelt thank you to Martin Talbot for his leadership, support, and friendship. His impact on the Trust, especially in the development of our hospital mentoring provision, will be felt for years to come. I wish him every success in his next venture!
Like many in the sector, we’re navigating a complex and challenging landscape, but having worked in youth development for over 12 years, I remain focused on providing young people with the best opportunities available for them to thrive.
I feel lucky to be working with an incredible group of athletes, trustees and our passionate team, and I look forward to leading them through this pivotal time at the Trust.”
Sam Bussey, Chair of Dame Kelly Holmes Trust, said: “We’d like to thank Martin for his hard work at the Trust and his many accomplishments; his passion for helping young people be the best versions of themselves has shone through throughout his time at the organisation. Through his leadership and vision we have developed our fantastic new programme offering one-to-one mentoring from our team of athlete mentors to young people in children’s hospitals, as well as delivering our brilliant partnership with Switch the Play to allow more sportspeople to find a new purpose in life after elite sport.
We’re proud of everything that has been achieved under Martin’s leadership, and we wish him the best of luck in his new role as CEO at Leadership Through Sport and Business – a really positive new challenge for him, continuing to do great work in Sport for Development.
We’re delighted that Annie Moody, Head of Income Generation and Fundraising, will move into the Interim CEO role, and look forward to working together to lead the charity.”
