Jo McDiarmid announced as interim CEO

We are pleased to announce that Jo McDiarmid has been appointed as Interim CEO for Dame Kelly Holmes Trust. Jo has been with the Trust for over 5 years and steps into the role after leading the operations team as Head of Programmes, Communications and Marketing.

A heartfelt thank you to Annie Moody

Jo takes over from Annie Moody who led the Trust for over a year following her leadership of Income Generation, and who has moved on due to personal reasons. Annie and her husband Lewis Moody are committed to raising awareness of Motor Neuron Disease (MND) / Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which Lewis was diagnosed with in 2025.

Interim CEO, Jo said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to Annie for everything she has given to the Trust during her time here, and her support and friendship to me and the team. Her leadership and impact on the Trust have been exceptional. We wish her and her family the very best.

I am proud and honoured to be stepping into the role of Interim CEO at this incredible charity; an organisation that has provided 18 years of fantastic support to thousands of young people through its transformational programmes, led by our brilliant team of athlete mentors.”

Sam Bussey, Chair of Dame Kelly Holmes Trust, said: “We’d like to thank Annie for all her hard work at the Trust and her many accomplishments; she has been passionate about supporting young people to become the best versions of themselves. Through her leadership and vision we have brought in fantastic new partnerships, and delivered epic challenges and events, raising tens of thousands of pounds for the Trust.

We’re proud of everything that has been achieved under Annie’s leadership, and we wish her and her family the very best during this challenging time.

We’re delighted that Jo McDiarmid, Head of Programmes, Communications and Marketing, will move into the Interim CEO role, and look forward to working together to lead the charity.”
